A contested race for presidency of the Lincoln City Senior Center led to chaotic scenes at the group’s annual general meeting (AGM) on Thursday, June 28.

Arguments about parliamentary processes and a confused counting process obscured the issues in the contest between senior center veteran Jan Shields and relative newcomer Michael Bass, who had entered the AGM as the sole candidate on the ballot.
