A 65-year-old man is recovering after spending a night entangled in blackberry bushes in Rose Lodge.

Don Crispin was found at about 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3 by a neighbor who was assisting the Lincoln County Search and Rescue team in a search of the Widow Creek Road area where he had been reported missing the previous evening.

Family members had raised the alarm at 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, reporting that Crispin, who was visiting from California had left their home about two hours earlier on foot and had not returned.

The search and rescue team began looking for Crispin at first light on Wednesday, with assistance from North Lincoln Fire & Rescue District #1.

He was found over an embankment trapped in blackberry briars a third of a mile from the home and transported by Pacific West Ambulance to Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
