Free hot dogs, prizes and a chance to meet Bigfoot, what could be better?

All those things and more will be at the Community Appreciation and Life Safety Event this weekend at the Clair Station in Taft.

On Saturday, June 15, the event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and feature sponsor such as NW Natural, American Red Cross, CERT, Lincoln City Police Department, ServPro and North Lincoln Fire and Rescue. There will be free hot dogs, raffle prices and games, free children’s bike helmets and a chance to meet Bigfoot in person. There will also be a Tsunami Escape Pod, Haz-Mat center, rescue drone demo and bouncy house.

NLFR will also have their new Heavy Rescue engine on display and viewers will get the chance to talk with firefighters and see the work that is going on behind the scenes in the Fire Department.

The St. Clair Station is located at 4520 SE Hwy 101 in Lincoln City.
