The 25th annual Gleneden Beach Independence Day Parade will be celebrated this year on Thursday, July 4th at 1 p.m.
The Gleneden Beach community comes together each year to create a memorable 4th of July experience for everyone involved. Please join us in “Celebrating 25 Years of Fun!” and help us pay tribute to this year’s honorees.
Honored Citizen: Lincoln City Police Department’s new K9 unit (Canine Police Officer Nix will walk in the parade)
Business of the Year: Chester’s Thriftway
Honored Veterans: Veterans of the Korean War and World War II
Are you hungry? Start the day off with breakfast at the Gleneden Beach Community Club from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Interested in local food, crafts and specialty items? Come to the parade early and enjoy the vendor fair, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Eden Hall parking lot and at various locations along the parade route.
Do you rock to the music? The Red Roof Café will host live music beginning at 11 a.m.
Need to entertain the kids? They will love the Kid Zone located at Blake’s Coastal Nursery!
Would you like to cash in? Do not miss this year’s 50/50 raffle! Half of the pot will go to the winner of the raffle; the other half goes to Lincoln City’s K9 unit. Now, that’s what I call a win-win!
Concerned about traffic and parking? Don’t be! Hop on a shuttle bus at Salishan Pro Shop, Gleneden Beach State Park or Gleneden Beach Airport and be dropped off at the parade bandstand. Shuttle buses run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Would you like to show your pride? Commemorative T-shirts are available for purchase at the Red Roof and Side Door cafes.
We are grateful to all those who continue to help make this parade an incredible experience year after year and invite you back to celebrate one of the best years yet. Gleneden Beach is a magical place to live, work and visit.
