Adult learning opportunities have always existed at the Newport Visual Arts Center, but they were typically presented on a drop-in or multi-day workshop basis.

Starting this summer, the Oregon Coast Council for the Arts will be launching a more formalized series of visual art workshops, classes and open-studio opportunities for adults.

Community members are encouraged to follow the new OCCA website ( and OCCA and VAC newsletters for timely updates. New adult art classes will be added on an ongoing basis.
