As the final notes were played this past Fourth of July, the SBMF Board of Directors were already celebrating a year of record breaking attendance and many new promotional partners.

Ticket sales and revenues soared with the expanded audience and musical offerings featuring major soloists of worldwide renown performing many different genres of music from the classics to jazz, musical theatre and the movies.

According to Artistic Director Yaacov “Yaki” Bergman, “it has long been our goal to create a true community “happening” and this year’s Festival succeeded with the addition of many new marketing partners, sponsors and contributors who aided us in carrying our message of excellence and innovative programming performed by superb artists to a wider audience throughout the region.

“We made many new friends in the community this season and, personally, there is nothing more rewarding than making friends through music and making music with friends” says Bergman. “Glowing comments from musicians and audiences alike continue to surface.”

The Festival’s annual Benefit Event was a tribute to Count Basie, Benny Goodman and other stars of that big-band era and boasted an auction and paddle raise hosted by Roger Robertson that netted the highest revenues in the Festival’s history.

Many exciting plans are afoot for next year’s Tenth Anniversary including the concept of highlighting the cultural legacy of the Siletz People through music, dance, storytelling and visual art.

2020 Festival Dates: June 13 – July 4th
