Coming Soon

The Bijou Theatre is presenting the 9th Summer Morning Matinees starting in June.

Each film plays Saturday, Monday and Thursday mornings at 11 a.m. The Bijou Theatre will present family films for only $3 and each film is sponsored by local businesses and some may have giveaways for the patrons each week. The proceeds for the matinees will be put toward youth league sports, since the school nor the City of Lincoln City covers the cost of those programs.

The Bijou Theatre is instrumental in raising money for all types of local charitable causes from helping a families in need to local sports and non-profit programs. The showing of the Sandlot on Saturday May 18 brought in around $375 for youth sports programs according to Majalise Tolan.

Although the attendance was around 40 patrons, other donations came in from supporters before and during the movie since they were unable to enjoy the movie.

The Bijou Theatre has been an avid community partner since the 60s thanks to owner Betsy Altomare and the Altomare Family.

The schedule for the Summer Morning Matinees is posted on the large grocery bags at Kenny's IGA stores and soon all over Lincoln City. The series starts Saturday June 22 through September 2. Lincoln City youth league players will be able to get in for free when they wear their uniform.
