It sickened me to read that this typically gang related shooting occurred in Lincoln City. I was born and lived in the greater Los Angeles Area my entire life until I retired. I was lucky to be able to choose where I wanted to spend the rest of my life and Lincoln City filled the bill. Small town, friendly, beautifully nestled between the mountains and the ocean with a lake to boot along with a couple of rivers thrown in the mix. Heaven on earth to me.

I thought I left all of the drive by shootings and meth houses, etc. behind me when I left L.A. I'm not naïve and realize that crime exists every where but never expected this.
