"Gun violence like this shouldn't be happening in our country," Rep. Kurt Schrader (D) told a town hall of 50 attendees at the Lincoln City Community Center.

Schrader said he was hopeful that the surviving students of the shooting expressed activism and said he hopes they come to Washington to speak.

Schrader also discussed healthcare, his bipartisan help group and the world perspective of the United States.
