Dennis Ray Berry

Sept. 23, 1945 – Oct. 7, 2018

Dennis Berry was born on September 23, 1945 to Raymond and Ethel Agnes Moe (Berry) in Dallas, Oregon. He passed away surrounded by his family and care team at OHSU on October 7, 2018.

Dennis attended Taft High School in his youth, shortly thereafter he married Sylvia Meyer on August 24,1963. Together they had three children - Donna Sherrill, Diana Kurtz and David Berry.

In February of 2012, Dennis married Patti James (Berry).

Denny was a family man and a friend to all. His greatest pride came from his children, grand-children and as of most recent two infant great-grandsons. Denny was a strong protector and supporter to friends and family alike. He loved well and was well loved. 

Denny worked for Quade Construction until he started his adventures in retirement. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Club and was also an Eagles Lodge Member. He enjoyed golfing, camping and family time and outings with his sister Raelene. He spent his last 5 years traveling with his beloved partner, Loretta.

Survived and always missed by: Loretta Walling - Partner, Raelene Johnson-Sister, Donna Sherrill- Daughter (David), Diana Kurtz-Daughter (Bob), David Berry-Son (Glenna). 

7 Grandchildren: Michael Sherrill, Tyler Sherrill, Kody Kurtz, Connor Kurtz, Trevar Berry, Bethany McKnight Berry, Sylvie Lu Berry. 2 Great-Grand Children Walter Sherrill and Aiden Berry.

Preceded in death by his first wife Sylvia Berry, his second wife Patti Berry, his sister Margaret Bush, his brother Raymond Berry and his parents Raymond and Ethel Berry.

A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday at 3:00 pm on October 13, 2018 at Odd Fellows Hall, 1350 SE Oar Ave. in Lincoln City, Oregon 97367.
