George Agusta Helms, Jr.

Dec. 26, 1952 – April 4, 2019

George Agusta Helms, Jr., born De- cember 26, 1952 in Gurard, Kansas to George A. Helms, Sr. and Shirley Helms (Mooney), passed away after a long and difficult battle with colon cancer, surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday April 4, 2019 at the age of 67.

George was married to Kendell Di- ane (Skaggs) Helms. Together they were the parents of William Helms, Anna Nagl, Nichole Brulc and Scott Brulc.

After George received his GED, he ventured into the military, eventually serving in all four branches of the military, life was an adventure and he wanted to see it all. After his years in the military he followed his passion with tinkering with old cars and owned his own Auto body and paint shop. He also had a knack at being a gun smith, building some of the most beautiful guns. He was well known around the community as a helping hand and was a part of the Sheriff’s Association as well. When he wasn’t working George was a family man and enjoyed his time with his grandchildren.

George is survived by his wife Kendell Helms; Step Daughters Nichole and Anna; Son William Helms; 4 Grand- daughters 2 Grandsons; Brothers- Robert Helms, Carl Helms, Randy Helms and Tim Beard and Charlie Helms; Sister- Cindy Helms; Nieces, Nephews and many more family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on July 28 from 2-5 pm at Wapiti State Park, 2118 S. Drift Creek Rd. in Lincoln City, Oregon.
