The 59th Annual Lincoln City Community Days was held last week. The high success of Community Days takes months of planning in front and behind the scenes. A special thank you to event coordinator, Shirley Hill for her spirited leadership and dedication. Community Days is poised to continue onward and upward for years to come.
Although Community Days is spread over one week, living here we experience first-hand the caring and giving of our community all year long. I have always said that Lincoln City tends to find common ground among organizations, residents and visitors by listening to each other. We realize that good things happen by engaging in our community. Community Days reminds us all to listen and engage throughout the year for the betterment of local businesses, individuals and Lincoln City. Anyone who has reason to believe otherwise, probably wasn’t at the Community Days Awards Banquet last Saturday. The awards banquet enjoyed over 200 attendees representing locally-owned businesses to national corporations with offices here in Lincoln City.
The News Guard continues to be the steadfast leader in community involvement. We are proud to be a gold sponsor of Community Days. Our advantage is we’ve been part of this community for over ninety years. We care about and are trusted in the community. We’re active community members and a catalyst for economic development. We’re here to document local stories and help local businesses grow. We deliver quality local journalism. You, our valued readers and advertisers, are the reason for the success of your hometown newspaper. Our advertisers have always responded by advertising locally, and our readers have always responded by supporting our local businesses. Community Days…onward and upward.
